About
Kate Wilson (they/them) is a writer, editor, and creator. They are the associate editor for Terse. Magazine, an Interview Correspondent with Half Mystic Press, and a poetry Reader for Alien Magazine.
Previously, Kate has served as the editor in chief for volume 56 of Ellipsis... Literature & Art, worked a social media manager for ellipsis and Half Mystic, been a poetry reader and editor for ellipsis, an Interview Correspondent for the now defunct Royal Rose Magazine, and the sole poetry editor of the now defunct Rose Quartz magazine.
their work has been published by Pressure Gauge Press and Parentheses Journal, among others. Their chapbook "Dance Party Dirge" was published by Ghost City Press in August of 2020. Three of their poems were selected for the Academy of American Poets Student Poetry Prize.
Kate is an active member of their community and works with the Sex Work Out reach project in Salt Lake City. Kate is a proud non-binary lesbian, wheelchair user, and chronically ill, disabled, and neruoatypical person. Kate enjoys long naps, longer baths, and keeping excel spreadsheets.
Kate served as the IronPen Judge at the 2018 Utah Art's Festival. Kate is also a nationally touring poet, and has read their work in most of the Western United States. Kate competed at CUPSI 2017 in Chicago, Illinois and their spoken word poems have been published by Write About Now.
Kate is a graduate of Westminster College with a BA in English Literature with minors in Sociology and Gender Studies. Kate loves the ocean, their dog maybe, and their wife, Grey.
